Additional Balanced Body Inspection & Correction Information:

Bones, muscles, ligaments, organs, posture, breath, strength, flexibility & energy impact your ability to conceive & birth. Overactive, underactive or uncoordinated pelvic floor muscles impact birth & recovery. Organ position & mobility directly affect muscle & body function. Trauma, emotions & limiting beliefs impact your tissues, muscles and energy to birth. The multipoint inspection focuses on auditing the complexities critical to the growth, development, progression & birth of the “driver & the passengers”. It helps you find & fix the “faulty parts” before risk arises.

Cost Cutting: Balanced Body Inspection ensures that all the minor issues are assessed & addressed before they become more significant. Big picture, it not only saves time & money but also helps your body be well longer. Many minor issues can become much more significant if not detected in time & addressed.

What Does Your Provider Check? During this visit your physical therapist assesses & addresses mobility, stability & function head to toe including: alignment, posture, breathing, strength, flexibility, fascial mobility, scar tissue (internal & external), bones, muscles, ligaments, organs, emotions, energy, trauma & limiting beliefs.

Alignment, Posture, Breathing: Some of the significant checks performed on the body are: the alignment, impact of posture, postural habits & breathing mechanics. The position & movement of you impacts the function of your body and ultimately your birthing experience.

Strength, Flexibility, Mobility: Strength, flexibility & mobility are some of the primary focuses of this inspection. It ensures that as your body grows & changes it can minimize the stress & strain of pregnancy & birth.

Internal & External Pelvic Floor Muscle, Organs & Scar Tissue: This step includes checking the various layers of pelvic floor muscles, position/mobility of the bladder & uterus & the symmetry/mobility of the ligaments & fascia supporting these structures. This check makes sure that the pelvis is optimal for pregnancy, birth & postpartum. This includes a standing evaluation postpartum.

All Things Fascia (Bones, Muscles, Ligaments & Beyond): The bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, & fascia are checked as a part of this inspection. The general mobility is checked as a part of this step to ensure the optimal space & motion are available. This helps fetal position, “create a smooth drive on the bumpy road” with a smoother labor & delivery and easier recovery of the body postpartum (Which overall saves wear & tear on your body).

Energy, Emotions, Trauma, Limiting Beliefs: Physical therapists are the preferred experts to evaluate the physical body & help birthing persons heal from issues experienced before, during & after birth. Connected Core knows we are more than just our bodies & works intuitively on all levels physically, energetically & spiritually to help access full potential. Most of these problems will cause the body to resist the release of control that birth needs. “The body expresses what the mind suppresses.” ~Gabor Mate
